So I have been a customer at Hostkey for quite some years and I noticed that it went every year just more worse.
Here are some of my issues
Rein
...stall not working:
First the reinstall button for windows.
Thats not working which was said in one of the tickets that was made. And in order to autemate this with my billing system and API of Hostkey I need it to work.
It doesn't. Since it doesn't work I got a question to let it reinstall by a enigeer and I agreed for this time only, it got reinstalled and then it showed 4 cores instead of 8. And as you said yourself I have bought 4 licenses which is 8 cores. Then I waited, waited & waited. No reaction.
Stupid specs:
Then I asked about the CPU bottleneck. Because of only 8 cores to a RTX 4090 I was only able to use the 40-50% of the GPU which means I do not get the full performance, which is ridicoules. I requested in the ticket for more cores and aknowledged you that it is ridicules to give 8 cores ofsuch bad CPU to a RTX 4090. Then I got a response today that the cores has been changed but apperatenly the staff did not send this in the right ticket, no problem but then correct your fault please. It also seems like they rushed the iceland launch of RTX 4090 machines.
Network issues:
Then also the network issue, when I bought the VM it was 1gbit full after some of the 4090 vms where sold at you the network performance went down, really down. To atleast 200-300mbps and then I got told by the
"amazing" livechat staff that I could be using 700mbps of data for a 720p/1080p connection. Which makes no sense because thats uploading not downloading and nothing is wrong with the upload performance. Then someone in the ticket replied to me and continueing to say that the issue is on my side - please educate yourself.. I even provided proof that the stream does not use 700mbps, it used 0.8mbps.
Rude staff & uneducated staff on livechat & general support:
Staffs on livechat were very rude in my opinion, they start to look nice but after a while they will start to look rude. They will ignore your questions even if they saw it. Staffs were also very uneducated of the company they work for, most of the times they didn't know what to say - or they do not know about the things they sell. They are also very not customer friendly - I once had a issue and they kept saying that I was on a VPN. I don't have a VPN and I am not which they didn't believe. Staffs in tickets is the same thing for general support. (Not the department selfs) They keep on telling things that are not possible or do not even read your case and automatically reply when seeing something they recognize.
Russian company:
I have nothing against russians but they claim that they are a dutch company but in the years I have bought services there - and the amounts of tickets I made and the departments I contacted. I never got any non-russian staff. Not even in the livechat, no-where. Company is full of russians, I tried to ask them why that is but ofcourse it got ignored or they tried to change the topic to something not relevant.
No managers/admins on weekends:
Company like hostkey should have managers & admins available at weekends, I don't know the number of how many customers they have but I believe its alot and it does not make sense to allow general support to work but all other departments closed. And I have also been now waiting for 5 days and almost a week to get my service running but yeah ofcourse this is all not working
I can continue to write and point out much more points but this should be enough to let you know to stay away from this company.
