who want bleeding edge tech. We have been using APlus and the predecessors for some 20 years. We have had maybe 5 hours downtime and no major issues. APlus may not be great, but for us it has proven to be 99.9% reliable and extremely cheap ($9.00 month legacy plan for 8 active websites). The only issue is that they offer premium Comodo SSL certificates, which makes it more expensive for https (typically $90 a year). The good part to the Comodo certs is that they include lots of extras not available with plain vanilla ssl.

rs. I've also used other hosting companies during that time. KH is the only one that has consistently provided a very high level of service for a cost less than some other bigger hosts. I now use them for all the sites I host for myself and clients. I recommend a semi dedicated server for its power and features.

As a professional systems administrator for a public /16 and more than 150 individual companies, I will not use aplus.net again, nor would I recommend it for any of my customers.

I have used nearly all north-american registrars and have consistently had a better experience with every single one. This is a low bar. I made the decision more than 10 years ago to give aplus.net a try for my own personal accounts, as it was literally the least expensive at the time. Well as they say: "you get what you pay for." Never again. |

Worst mistake of my life was signing up with these guys. One of my accounts was hacked and their abuse team sent me an email ...

alerting me to the files that were malicious. I deleted all of them except one (which I missed by mistake). Because of this, on a Friday night, they shut my site down - took it off line. Then they give me the spin that their 'abuse team' is different from their "support team" and they only work 9-5 monday to friday - no after hours support. So my site is now offline until Monday at the earliest. Dreadful service, in no way fit for a professional business to rely on. Please learn from my mistake, avoid these guys at all costs.
